A. Our current step is to request  a workshop on the VISITATION RULE CHANGES via email to:
                          fdcrulecorrespondence@fdc.myflorida.com


Some wording is required such as:

1.  I am a substantially affected person under F.A.C. 120.536(3) as I am an approved visitor.

2. Regarding all rule developments on visitation 33-601.713 - 33-601.732 filed on 7/6/22

3. request FDC hold a workshop pursuant to F.A.C. 120.54(2)(c).

PLEASE remember to add your own wording as workshops have been denied in the past for form letters, meaning multiples of the same thing. As long as the above 3 elements are there you are good to go.

B. Be sure your incarcerated loved one gets involved as well. They can send a letter to:

                                                  Tallahassee, Florida 32399


They need the same 3 elements as well.


C. Contact legislators to inform them of what is going on. Include the following element, using your own words.

1.  on 7/6/22 FDC announced a proposed rule change that would reduce family visitation time at state prisons by 50% despite F.S. 944.8031(1).

By completing A,B,C above, always using your own words, you have completed the first of many. This change may be similar to the visitation change before, and WE out here may have won before, but FDC was unaccustomed to citizens taking action on FDC rule changes. They are ready this time and WELL PREPARED complete with attorneys.  THIS IS NO JOKE!

NOBODY IN THIS FIGHT IS MORE OR LESS IMPORTANT THAT THE NEXT, WE MUST COME TOGETHER AND FIGHT THIS FIGHT UNIFIED AND WE ALL MUST BE THE BOOTS ON THE GROUND. THIS IS OUR LIVES, OUR RIGHTS, OUR LOVED ONES FUTURE in OUR hands! This is NOT a time to let just a few deal with this!
